Future
In 1988, there was a project to create a Thai Niello village in order to promote Nielloware by making the village a tourist attraction, perhaps in the same fashion as the Bang Sai SUPPORT center. However, the project did not succeed and it was never completed. At this point, there are very few institutions or people working toward the preservation of this valuable art form other than of the SUPPORT foundation. In general, these are isolated efforts that do not seem to have a significant impact continue this Thai tradition.
